How to Reset Your StreamDock Device
In the StreamDock software, resetting a device means restoring the selected device or all connected devices to their default configuration.
There are two reset options:
- Reset the current device: Resets only the device currently selected in the software.
- Reset all devices: Resets all StreamDock devices managed by the software.
If you only want to reset one device, use Reset the current device. If you are troubleshooting multiple devices or want to clear all device configurations, use Reset all devices carefully.

When Should You Reset Your Device?
In most cases, you do not need to reset your StreamDock device during normal use.
Only consider resetting the device in situations such as:
- The device is connected but not working correctly.
- The device layout are not displaying as expected.
- You want to clear the current device configuration and set it up again.
- Technical support asks you to reset the device during troubleshooting.
If the issue is only related to one scene, one button, or one plugin, try checking that setting first before resetting the whole device.
How to Reset the Current Device
- Open the StreamDock software.
- Make sure your device is connected and recognized.
- Click the Setting icon in the upper-left area of the software.
- Go to the General tab.
- Click Reset the current device.
- Confirm the reset if a confirmation prompt appears.
This option only resets the device currently selected in the StreamDock software.
How to Reset All Devices
- Open the StreamDock software.
- Click the Setting icon.
- Go to the General tab.
- Click Reset all devices.
- Confirm the reset if a confirmation prompt appears.
Use this option carefully, because it applies to all devices managed by the StreamDock software.

Important Notes Before Resetting
Before you reset your StreamDock device, please keep these points in mind:
- Resetting will remove custom device settings.
- If you have important scenes or layouts, export or back them up before resetting.
- Use Reset the current device if only one device has an issue.
- Use Reset all devices only when you need to reset every connected or configured device.
- After resetting, you may need to set up scenes, buttons, knobs, Touch Bar modules, or other device settings again.
If you are not sure whether a reset is needed, contact MiraBox support or check the issue with a smaller setting first.
Final Thoughts
The reset function in StreamDock is mainly used for troubleshooting or restoring device settings. For most users, Reset the current device is the safer option because it only affects the selected StreamDock device.
Use Reset all devices only when you clearly need to restore all device configurations. Before resetting, make sure any important scenes or settings have been backed up.
