How to Use Multi Action Wheel in StreamDock

Multi Action Wheel is a StreamDock knob function that lets you place multiple actions on the same knob. You can rotate the knob to switch between different functions, then press the knob to run the currently selected function.
This is useful when you want to group related controls together, such as media controls, brightness settings, app shortcuts, or plugin actions.
What Is Multi Action Wheel?
Multi Action Wheel works like an action selector for a knob.
Instead of assigning only one action to a knob, you can add multiple actions into the same Multi Action Wheel. After setup, rotating the knob will move between the included actions, and pressing the knob will execute the action currently selected.
For example, you can create a Multi Action Wheel with:
- Play / Pause
- Brightness
- Siri or voice assistant shortcut
- Website shortcut
- Plugin action
- App control
This makes one knob more flexible and helps reduce the number of separate controls you need on your StreamDock layout.
How to Set Up Multi Action Wheel
- Open the StreamDock software.
- Select your device and the scene you want to edit.
- In the right sidebar, switch to the Knob tab.
- Open Operation Flow.
- Drag Multi ActionWheel onto the knob or knob area you want to configure.
After the Multi Action Wheel is added, the parameter panel will appear at the bottom of the software.
- Click the arrow next to Include: 0 Items to open the Action Wheel editing page.
- On the Action Wheel page, drag the functions you want from the right sidebar into the action list.
You can add StreamDock functions, Touchbar functions, Spotify controls, plugin actions, or other supported actions.
- If needed, use the list handle or the up and down controls to adjust the order of the actions.
The order determines how the functions appear when you rotate the knob.
- Click the back arrow in the upper-left area of the Action Wheel page to return to the knob settings page.
After returning to the knob settings page, the software will show how many actions are included in the Multi Action Wheel. The device and software will also sync and display the function options you set, along with the currently selected function.
How to Use Multi Action Wheel on the Device
After setup, you can use the knob directly on your StreamDock device:
- Rotate the knob to switch between different function options.
- Press the knob to execute the currently selected function.
If your device has a touch screen or display area, the current function option can be shown on the device, making it easier to see which action will run before you press the knob.

For a better experience, it is recommended to use this function on a StreamDock device with a touch screen or display area, so you can clearly see the current function options and the selected action.
