How to Use Voicemod with Stream Dock

Voicemod is a real-time voice changer and soundboard app widely used for gaming, Discord, streaming, and content creation. With the Voicemod plugin for Stream Dock, you can control frequently used Voicemod functions directly from your Stream Dock without switching windows.

What Can You Do with the Voicemod Plugin?

The Voicemod plugin lets you assign common functions to Stream Dock buttons, including:

  • Switch between different voice effects
  • Turn Voice Changer on or off
  • Trigger Soundboard effects
  • Mute your microphone
  • Enable Hear Myself
  • Stop Soundboard audio

For example, you can create buttons for Robot Voice, Deep Voice, Mic Mute, Applause, Meme Sounds, and Stop All Sounds.

This is especially useful while gaming or streaming because you can control Voicemod without leaving your current application.

How to Install the Voicemod Plugin

Step 1: Install Voicemod

Download and install the Voicemod desktop application first.

Set up your microphone and audio output, and make sure Voicemod works normally before configuring Stream Dock.

Step 2: Install the Plugin

Open Stream Dock and go to Space.

Search for Voicemod, then download and install the plugin.

After installation, return to the Stream Dock editor. The available Voicemod actions should appear in the plugin list.

How to Add Voice Effects

Open Stream Dock and find the Voicemod plugin.

Drag a voice-related action onto an empty button, then select the voice effect you want to use.

You can create a simple layout such as:

Normal | Robot | Deep Voice

Voice Changer | Mic Mute | Hear Myself

Pressing a button will send the selected command directly to Voicemod.

How to Use the Soundboard

You can also assign Voicemod Soundboard effects to Stream Dock buttons.

Drag the Soundboard action onto a button, select your Soundboard and choose the sound you want to play.

For example:

Applause | Laugh | Meme | Beep

You may also want to add a Stop All Sounds button so you can quickly stop a long or accidentally triggered sound effect.

Using Voicemod with Discord or Games

If your Stream Dock controls are working but other people cannot hear the modified voice, check the microphone input in Discord, your game, or streaming software.

The audio path should normally be:

Microphone → Voicemod → Voicemod Virtual Microphone → Discord / Game / OBS

Stream Dock controls Voicemod, while Voicemod handles the actual voice processing.

Troubleshooting

If the Voicemod buttons do not work, check the following:

  • Make sure Voicemod is running.
  • Make sure the plugin is installed in Stream Dock.
  • Restart Stream Dock and Voicemod.
  • Check that the correct voice or Soundboard effect is selected.
  • Confirm that your application is using the Voicemod virtual microphone.

Control Voicemod with One Press

Using Voicemod with Stream Dock makes voice effects and Soundboard controls easier to access.

Instead of opening Voicemod or remembering keyboard shortcuts, you can place your most-used controls directly on physical buttons.

Start with a few essential actions such as Voice Changer, Mic Mute, your favorite voices, and Soundboard effects, then build additional pages around your own gaming or streaming workflow.
