Stream Dock: Customize Your Buttons and Knobs
Change a keyboard shortcut, adjust volume with a knob, or display the weather for your city. Fine-tune the functions you have already added to make Stream Dock feel more natural to use.
Once you have added a function to Stream Dock, you can keep adjusting it as your needs change. There is no need to start over just to update a shortcut or choose a different city.
In the previous guide, we added functions by dragging them onto the device. This time, we will work with the functions already in place.
Select your device, scene, and page, then click the button you want to edit. Its settings will appear below the device preview. For knob functions, switch to Knob Mode first, then select the corresponding position in the horizontal control area.
1. Copy a Function Before Building Another
Need another button with similar settings? Copy the one you have already configured.
Right-click the existing function and select Copy. Then right-click an empty button and select Paste. Select the new button to adjust its parameters.
This is useful when creating several hotkey buttons: configure one, copy it, and assign a different shortcut to each copy. To remove a function you no longer need, right-click it and select Delete.

Copy, paste, or delete an existing function.
To change what a function does, simply left-click it and use the settings panel below.
2. Change a Keyboard Shortcut
Select a Hotkey button and find the hotkey field in its settings. Enter the shortcut you want the button to send.
For example, you can assign Left Windows + D, displayed as L-Win+D, or replace it with a combination you use regularly.
Add a Title to make the button easier to recognize. The hotkey settings also offer Click and Long Press options, so you can choose the interaction that suits your use.

Edit the shortcut, title, and click or long-press option.
After making your changes, switch to the application where you intend to use the shortcut and test the physical button. You can update the shortcut again at any time without adding a new function.
3. Adjust Volume with a Knob
Switch to Knob Mode, select the system volume function, and set its action to Volume.
- Turn left to lower the volume.
- Turn right to raise the volume.
- Press to toggle mute on or off.
Other knob functions have their own parameters and operating instructions. Select the relevant position to see the settings available for that function.
If you are using Control Bar, switch to the corresponding mode and right-click to open Control Bar Settings. The same menu also lets you copy, paste, or delete a function. Its individual parameters are still adjusted in the settings panel below.

System Volume parameters and the Control Bar menu. Control Bar Mode is selected in this example.
4. Display the Weather for Your City
If your weather button shows the wrong location, select Weather Query and search for your city in the Enter City field.
Choose the correct result from Search Results, then click Update. For example, search for shenzhen, select Shenzhen, Guangdong, China, and update the function. Use the same process whenever you want to check another location.

Select a city and adjust the weather display.
You can also adjust the temperature unit, weather label display, and theme. For a cleaner appearance, hide text you do not need. To keep the location visible, select City Name under Display Options.
Scroll down in the settings panel to explore the remaining options.
Keep Adjusting as You Go
A new shortcut, a different city, or a change to your knob controls can all be configured from the existing function.
If a function includes an Update or Save button, click it after editing, then test the result on your device.
Start with the controls you use most. After a few days, you will have a better sense of what belongs within easy reach and what could use another adjustment.
