Configure Multimedia Controls on Stream Dock

The Multimedia function allows your Stream Dock to control common media actions, such as play, pause, previous track, next track, stop, mute, volume up, and volume down.
This feature is useful when you are listening to music, watching videos, streaming, editing, gaming, or working on daily desktop productivity tasks. If you use Stream Dock as a stream deck alternative, macro keyboard, or streaming control deck, the Multimedia function can help you control media faster without switching windows.
What Is Multimedia Function?
Multimedia is a toolbox function in Stream Dock software. After adding it to a key or knob, you can use Stream Dock to control media playback and system audio.
Step 1: Add Multimedia Function to a Key
Open the Stream Dock software and select the key you want to edit.
Then go to:
Toolbox > Multimedia
Drag the Multimedia function to your selected key.
After adding it, you can customize the title and choose the operation you want the key to perform.
Step 2: Choose an Operation
In the Operation menu, select the media action you want to use.
Available options include:
- Previous
- Play/Pause
- Next
- Stop
- Mute
- Increase Volume
- Lower Volume
For example, if you select Play/Pause, pressing the Stream Dock key will play or pause the current media.
If you select Next, Stream Dock will skip to the next track or media item.
Step 3: Use Multimedia with Touch Bar or Knob
Stream Dock also supports Multimedia control on the touch bar or knob.
For knob mode, you can select the Multimedia function and set the operation to:
Play/Pause/Previous/Next
This allows you to control media playback more quickly from the knob area.
