How to Set Up Dynamic Screen Saver on MiraBox M3

How to Set Up Dynamic Screen Saver on MiraBox M3

The Dynamic Screen Saver is a new function designed for MiraBox M3 in the StreamDock software. It improves the idle display experience when the device enters sleep or standby status.

Instead of only switching between a black screen and a static wallpaper, M3 can display dynamic content such as clocks, notes, information panels, wallpapers, and visual effects.

What Is Dynamic Screen Saver?

Dynamic Screen Saver allows the M3 to show useful or visual content when the device is idle.

It can display:

  • Animated information panels
  • Dynamic clocks
  • Notes
  • Calendar information
  • Custom wallpapers
  • Interactive visual effects

This makes the M3 screen more useful during idle time, especially for office setups, creator desks, streaming setups, and daily workflows.

How to Enter Screen Saver Mode

There are two ways to enter Screen Saver Mode.

Automatic Activation

The screen saver can start automatically based on your settings.

For example, it can activate:

  • After a timer
  • At scheduled times

This is useful when you want the device to enter screen saver mode automatically after being idle.

Manual Activation

You can also assign a key to trigger the screen saver directly.

After setting the action, press the assigned key to enter screen saver mode manually.

This is useful when you want to quickly switch the M3 display to screen saver mode without waiting for the timer.

What Happens During Sleep?

When the device or computer enters sleep status, the screen may first turn black.

After that, pressing a key again will:

  • Wake the device
  • Display the screen saver

This is normal behavior.

The black screen appears first because the device needs to wake before showing the Dynamic Screen Saver content.

Screen Saver Mode 1: Information Dashboard

Information Dashboard is the recommended screen saver mode.

It can include:

  • Digital clock
  • Notes panel
  • Time gradient lighting
  • Calendar

The Notes section can sync with the Notes plugin, making it useful for reminders, quick information, and daily planning.

You can customize:

  • Font size
  • Position
  • Layout

This mode is suitable for:

  • Office workflows
  • Creator workstations
  • Desk information display
  • Users who want practical idle-screen information

Screen Saver Mode 2: Minimal Mode

Minimal Mode provides a simpler display style.

It can include:

  • Digital clock
  • Custom background image

You can customize:

  • Clock colors
  • Wallpapers
  • Background images

This mode is suitable for:

  • Minimal streaming setups
  • Gaming desk aesthetics
  • Clean creator setups
  • Users who prefer a simple idle screen

Important Notes

Before using Dynamic Screen Saver, please note the following:

  • Make sure you are currently on the Screen Saver Settings Page.
  • If you are not on this page, the device may only switch between screen off and the default wallpaper.
  • Only one screen saver can be active at a time.
  • Multiple screen savers on different pages are not supported.
  • This design helps prevent plugin conflicts.

Final Thoughts

The Dynamic Screen Saver function makes the MiraBox M3 idle screen more flexible and useful. You can use it to display a clock, notes, calendar information, animated panels, or a custom background when the device is not actively being used.

Use Information Dashboard if you want a practical display for office work. Use Minimal Mode if you prefer a clean visual style for streaming, gaming, or desk aesthetics.
